It was a HUGE fall break for The Sound of Brownsburg.
First, on October 19, they took 6th place at the Bands of America Indianapolis Super Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium. 88 bands from 8 states attended, making this an extremely competitive event. The band has advanced to finals at this event 7 of the last 8 years the event has been held (no event in 2020).
Then on October 26, they performed at ISSMA Semi-State at Ben Davis High School with 19 Open Class A bands (bands from large schools.) They advanced to State Finals (10 bands advance) and will perform at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 9 at 8:30 pm. The band has also advanced to ISSMA state finals 7 of the last 8 years the event has been held (again, no event in 2020).
Lastly, at Community Night on October 25, the band announced they have been selected to perform in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA! This prestigious event will showcase our talented students on a national stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. The band performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2021. Now, the band will have marched in two of the most distinguished parades in the world within just a five year period. (Actually about 4 years and 1 month)
