Just a few testimonials from Brownsburg Parents….
“Band has given my daughter confidence in herself and this quality has transcended into many areas of life. She now serves as a leader and mentor to her peers. I am so appreciative of the Brownsburg middle and high school music programs!”

“Is band always easy? No. Is it always fun? No. Is it worth it? Every single minute. Band changes kids. It gives weak kids strength. It provides the socially-challenged an incredible network. It gives both weak and strong kids an equal opportunity to shine, with a lot of practice….and they will practice. In 5th grade they learn to make their first sound through a mouthpiece. By the end of that year, it is amazing what they have learned. They tell you about their first band friend. They try out solo and ensemble and gain a little confidence. They fall completely in love with Pep Band. They whine and moan and groan about marching band and the heat, the cold and the laps and long practices….and then they perform in their first band contest, they travel on their first band trip….and their lives are changed forever. They make State Finals. They achieve the solo spot. They make the top Jazz band. Sometimes it is as simple as just having friends. They play in their final Wind Ensemble performance and you wonder why it ever has to end. This is not being dramatic. Band changes kids. It is a place where parenting stops and directors take over. I find they listen to them far better than me. It develops them into better humans. I don’t know about you, but I want my kids to learn about hard work, perseverance, friendship, respect and love. It comes in a package. My family calls it band.”

“The Brownsburg Band and Orchestra program has had a positive, life-changing impact on all three of our children. They not only gained a new skill, but also confidence, perseverance, determination, and a great group of close friends! The groundwork that the program has provided has also given our older two children incredible opportunities beyond the high school level. It has been an amazing experience for them!”
